19I know that the cost for the nightlife is very expensive... I've been trying to see how much its costs per day in each of the city and I know there is alot of posts on this forum about this but this is different for everyone. I want to stay in hostel, and I'm not willing to spend more than 12-15 Euro per meal. I As for the transportation, I'm trying to figure out the best way to travel from Paris to Barcelona or Ibiza. I heard that there is a boat the can get me from Ibiza to Barcelona or from Barcelona to Ibiza during night so I could sleep on the boat but I didn't find any good information yet. I have been looking on http://www.skyscanner.net/ and on the TGV site. I found a flight from Paris to Barcelona for 89 Euro... but it's after that it gets complicated... I don't know how to get to Ibiza and how to get to Cannes after... It seems that I would have to do a couple of transfers...

20How many nights are you planning to spend in Ibiza?

22Prices are sky high in Ibiza (and anywhere else on the Med*) in August - it's absolute peak season. You'll pay about €50 a night for a room minimum. The ferry from Barcelona to Ibiza will cost you about €100 round trip: accommodation on board the night time ferries is compulsory. Add food, drinks and club entry fees to that. That makes it a very expensive party. If I were young again, I wouldn't like to be there without a minimum budget of around €200 a day, maybe more, and some fancy clothes. Can you afford it? Montpellier is much cheaper and less flash.
*That includes Nice, Cannes and Monaco. (Monaco? Why?)

23I wanted to visit Monaco because it looks like a very nice to place to visit, and while I was near, I thought it could be a good idea.
I can't afford 200 Euro a day... My budget is about 80 Euro a day not including the transportation... If I can't have fun with 80 Euro, I might as well not go to Ibiza...

24you maybe could do €80 per day, but you'll just be VERY sober.
on the plus side, you could look even better in those skinny jeans... cos you didn't eat lunch or dinner that day.
as suggested, look into somewhere like Montpellier. it will def be cheaper, maybe a little less "flash", but still good, and there'll be a whole lot less pastey english around (doesn't James Blunt live in Ibiza?).

Isn't that what people have been trying to tell you all the time?
But don't worry, Ibiza isn't the only place to party in the area.

26Head for cities that have universities, such as Montpellier, where prices are geared more towards students. You'll have more fun there than on Ibiza. Cannes doesn't have a university. Keep your travel costs down and you'll have more money to add to your daily budget.
I suspect that Monaco is not for you unless you win the lottery as it's probably the last place to go for partying on a tight budget. It's also suffocatingly bourgeois.
