From Faro to Seville, Bus or Train?

The train only takes you to the border town. From there its a good walk to the bordering Spainish town. A fair distance from what I read.Bus goes straight there from Faro. Though it will probably be packed with people by that stage (depending on time of year). It might be wise to head to Lagos and jump on the bus there. Not sure though.
