Padua to Venice Marco Polo Airport

How can I travel from Padua to Venice Marco Polo Airport?
What is the best way?
I have to be at the airport at 3pm; flight is at 5pm.
Please advise.

I don't know if there is a direct bus from Padova to MP airport.
To Venice - Mestre it's only 20 min by train, and from there about half an hour by bus to the airport.
Including waiting for train/bus I'd calculate 1 hr 30 min.

I would train it to Venice, and from there there is a shuttle bus to the airport every 15 minutes, that leaves from the Piazza Roma right next to the station.

It's unnecessary to go to Piazzale Roma (Venice). The bus goes back across the bridge to Mestre, anyway.

That is the terminus for the bus, it you have luggage you it's far the best place to catch the bus and have it stowed, if you have and want to be very inconciderate you hold up everybody at the rail station and catch it there as it's in transit, you can.

I just have my carry on/hand luggage with wheels, I can take it in the bus.
So, I just take the train from Padua to Mestre, then take the bus to VCE.
thanks everyone!!!

Venice Piazzale Roma is the worst possible place (far away from Santa Lucia railway station). Change at Venezia Mestre railway station.

Advise for people travelling Venice to Padua / Terme Euganee. Take the train!!!! Train is cheaper, faster, and less hassle than the bus. Whoever advised me to take the bus must be kidding. I nearly vomited from the bus experience of 30 to 45 mins., train only took 8 mins.

fyi only,
Tourist info centres in Italy are useless. Info centres specialize in booking hotels and are there to make $$$$, not to really help people. So don't rely on tourist info centres for any concrete and helpful advise.

Padova - Venezia:
26 min by Eurostar train (26 EUR one way),
34 to 50 min by regional train (3 EUR one way).

Cogito got all bus and rail timetables as responses to his 27 questions about transport to Venice posted in this forum. So he knew the journey times in advance.

Official Tourist offices in Italy are fine and all information is free. May be cogito confounds them with private travel agencies like American Express.

It would be nice to know how many official tourist offices cogito visited - and which ones - to see how much value that sweeping generalization really has.
