boat to cebu from manila

hi i would like to know if you can take a boat to cebu from manila
just as an another option, as flying is cheap

I saw there was boats going but never tried it.
I think it costed 699 pesos one way.
check with weesam or seacat

if you have time (& bone), you can travel by combination of bus and ferries from manila to cebu (and even further)

thanks for the replys but if you get the good deals on cebupacific like i did 1way was only 550 ps all up can not beat, that going by boat just was another option that i might look at

Did you actually get a fare of P550 with tax included or did you just see the Go fare listed, without the taxes?

I also imagine that a fare of P550 is extremely hard to get. I check Cebu Pacific fares often and don't remember ever seeing one that low, with taxes.

Also, you must not have read my message where I said it is P500 promo at the moment on the Superferry.

nope with taxes it was 555.20 that i paid for next month clark to cebu and yes i seen that promo ,but i am not to interested in that class ,it is was not about money , just to try some thing different, and i know you save a nights room , thanks for replys

Ah, then we are not taliking about Manila to Cebu at all.

I never check the Cebu to Clark route as I have no interest in travelling there.

few people would want to do this by ferry unless they had a ton of luggage with them or really were counting the cost of every peso (the prices are not much different). Even ordinary Filipinos will normally fly these days. I have met Filipinos that live in houses with outside toilet and no running water, and who have been on planes, but not a night ferry.
