buses from calgary to montana

I am trying to get a bus from Calgary, AB to Billings, MT in the states. But pesky greyhound website is of the opinion that I need to travel all the way to Seattle via Vancouver then go East again. Does anyone know another way this can happen ?
As I know I can get greyhound south from Calgary to Lethbridge, but then from Lethbridge to say Greatfalls, MT which should be about a 3 hour journey, the Greyhound website just doesn't want to help me.

If anyone has some ideas, apart from go down to greyhound station and ask, I would greatly appreciate the assistance.

I am sorry but that route from Calgary to Great falls, via Lethbridge and the border crossing at Coutts/Sweetgrass does not exist anymore and has not been in operation for about 5 years. It shows that it does exist on the greyhoud map on their website bu I know for sure that is not true as I live on that route.

You will have to travel to Vancouver/Seattle and they east.

If you could get to Shelby Montana, there is a small bus that goes twice a day to Great Falls, once in the morning and once in the afternoon.

Hi,
You are probably better of flying.

Flying is not really an option I can afford, I do that then I cut a month off travel time.
Thanks Ron for that information, and as I mentioned in the US thread, it was more shuttle buses or car rental, rather than getting a flight.

I just priced it for random dates in April, May and June, and a ticket was $250. Even a flight that leaves this Thursday is under $400.
That's comparable with Greyhound ($200).

If you are looking for a year-round "charter van"' transportaton company between Alberta and Montana check out www.airportshuttleexpress.com. They go from Calgary to Glacier Natonal Park MT as well as Kalispell and Whitefish. They also list summer schedule bus information from Waterton Park (Canada) to Glacier National Park (USA).
