ALLERGIC REACTION SWOLLEN FOREHEAD

Every evening my forehead swells up massively, I arrived in Cambodia 2 weeks ago from the UK and after the third day the attacks started.
I have a history of allergy attacks but never this continously, I have stopped drinking and am smoking UK tobaccco but nothing is working to halt it.
My forehead becomes hot and itchy, especially along my hairline, then it starts to swell, especially inbetween and above my eyes. It is quite something to look at! My usual drug, ceterizine, is doing nothing to help. I went to see an English doctor in Phnom Penh but he was useless and tried to sell me a flu jab!
Can anyone help, I am becoming deperate, it is ruining my trip as i have to stay in every evening.
Can anyone recommend a different drug i can get here in Phnom Penh, or a good clinic?
Please help!

I feel for you, I've had a swollen forehead like this a couple of times...I'm living in Asia. We (my boyfriend is a doctor) kind of figured out it happens when I get too much sun on my head and overheat. I took antihistamines and an ibuprofen for the swelling.

As for the alternative anti-histamines I find that ceterizine isn't as effective as loratadine (I have a lot of allergies too). Loratadine is the only antihistamine that works for me...you will be able to find this in any pharmacy in Cambodia - it'll be relatively cheap so give it a try.

Benadryl as directed and Hydrocortisone and/or Creme applied to the swollen area work well for me.

Best clinic if you still have problems...

If you are wearing a hat daily it could be

a contact dermatitis from an allergy to an irritant

in your hat liner pretty common especially mixed with sweat humidity.

might try going without a hat till it clears up then maybe a hat without a liner

Same happened me, it was from the sun, getting burnt on hairline possibly. Chlorphenamine Maleate, aka piriton is pretty effective. I also required IM shots of hydrocortisone for 2 days, sorted it out rightly.
