Travel in late novemberGood day everyone,
I have to travel to Europe on business in mid Nov and have decided to extend my time to do a little touring.
I have never been to Slovinia or Croatia and would like to visit.
However, I am a curious about the weather.
Can anyone give some general insights into the weather there in late November?
I am planning to rent a car for touring but don't want to be in situation of contiunal cold rain or blizzards if that is the norm.

1Weather averages can be found for individual cities by clicking on these links:
For example, the average temperature in Llubljana in November is 3, while in Dubrovnik it's 12. (Celsius, of course.) The coastal area of Croatia stays relatively mild, but I've been told it can be a bit more damp and rainy during the winter months. Still, if you can catch some decent weather, the off season can be a great time to visit due to the lack of other tourists.

I can tel You that the weather in Slovenia in late November is usuallly cold. You have to be well dressed. It may also be snow. Before you go on a trip cheque the weather report on www.accuweather.com
Have a nice trip!

4A couple things to keep in mind re: Slovenia: 1) even if it snows the Slovenes are really good at keeping the roads clear, and there are brand new motorways leading to most places of interest for tourists, and 2) Slovenes are pretty crap drivers when the weather is bad (and only slightly less so at other times). Hope that helps. Enjoy your stay.

It'll be chilly there, but hopefully not too cold. They do get a decent amount of snow in the area around Lake Bled and the Julian Alps. The Vrsic Pass might not be a good option, but plenty of other things to do/see. The roads are in great condition.
For tips on what to do & where to go, check out my article on Slovenia:
We rented a car for 6 days and had a great trip. Wonderful country, great people. Can't go wrong! Only had 2 days in Zagreb and skipped the Dalmatian Coast so we could spend more time in the Greek Isles. Rough decision, huh? :-) Safe travels!
