Presumably you mean you want to get just a SIM card, not a whole new phone?As #1 says you can get the pre-paid SIM's (and phones) pretty much everywhere, any of those retailers listed. Also Argos which has branches all over London.

Well, I think it really depends on how much texting / talking / internet you use on your phone. There are some pretty good deals around, like vodafone has something called stop the clock. I think its best to just go into shops like carphone warehouse or argos or something to see the best deals! Hope that helps8
For a pre-paid sim card check out Lebara. It uses the Vodaphone network. You can even roam on it. You will need to buy a sim-free handset separately.
