2If you're looking to save money by sleeping in either CDG or Gare du Nord, see www.sleepinginairports.net. I don't know if Gare du Nord is open all night.
If you're looking for a cheap hotel, there are several close by Gare du Nord. Take the RER B to Gare du Nord, find a 1- or 2-star hotel, check in, and see a little bit of the City of Lights after dark before you go to bed.

3During the day, you can make train connections to Amsterdam through the TGV station at Charles de Gaulle Terminal 2, without going into Paris (change trains in Brussels.) Probably you will arrive at CdG too late for the last connection of the day. There are (relatively) economical hotels around CdG. The big Accor hotel chain has a number of hotels there, including the budget Ibis and Etap operations. See the selection at www.accorhotels.com Good shuttle service to Terminal 2 and TGV and the RER into Paris. If you have to take that early train out of Gare du Nord, remember that the RER takes about 40 minutes and you will need time to find your Amsterdam train , so you will have to get up very early in the morning if you choose to stay at the airport. Maybe you could change your train ticket and leave from CdG instead. SNCF train and ticket information at www.tgv-europe.com. That site can be intimidating but there is a dandy blog called Parisbytrain which leads you step by step through the ticket process in English. It's at http://parisbytrain.com/tgv-tickets/
