Tartu-Riga Airport

Dear all,

I am planning a trip in Estonia for a few days in mid-Jan. Then I have a flight from Riga on Monday 26 Jan at 14:00. I will be coming from Tartu, Estonia.

Do you think it will be a safe bet to catch the Eurolines bus, departing Tartu at 6:45 am and arriving at the Riga Airport at 11:20am on the morning of my flight?? I found no busses from Tartu to Parnu on the 25th (Eurolines don't go on that day and Ecolines don't go that route). I would have preferred to been in Parnu the night before as it on the way to Riga..

What do you think???

Thank you in advance.

That connection is fine.

The Baltics are well practiced at keeping roads clear, even after heavy snow (as now). The bus services are reliable, especially the long distance ones. The borders were always simple, but even easier post-schengen so you won't even stop.

Add to this you have at least 90 minutes' slack in your time table and I really think there is no reason to worry about your plans.

I took that bus a few years back and it arrived bang on time in Riga (but at the central station, not the airport), if that's any help...

There are buslines between Tartu and Parnu, 10-15 daily.

This connection seems the only one to fit your plans. And this bus (origin from SPb) has a final stop in Riga airport.

OK, some night travel via Parnu is also possible arriving in Riga VERY early in the morning.
