1if you really mean HOTEL-none of them come cheap-and all are in fairly bad state-giving even less value for money. But there are ever more-quite cheap-hoStels and smaller pensions-the usual sites list them-min about 10 EUR/nite. ONLY in towns that are at least vaguely touristy-but then you dont want to go out of that area anyway. Meals are dirt-cheap-the local style-lots of greasy or burnt meats. bad place for vegetarians-as somehow it seems over 80% of travelling brits seem to belong to that

5I suppose it depends on what you call "Cheap". If you're Icelandic or Norwegian, then it's cheap.
If you're Bulgarian or Somalian, it'll be expensive.
For UK residents (such as myself), it's cheap - very cheap. And if you do a little website searching on Google, it can be even cheaper.

nonsense, serbia is cheaper than bulgaria. as for somalia, well,i havent seen any somalis in serbia.
there is no depending or not, food in serbia is still rather cheap.
on top of everything, portions in serbian restaurants are huge, like 2-3 western portions. you can have a whole meal (huge portion, salad, drink, etc) for about 10 euros per person. and thats in a good restaurant.
i also dont quite understand what he means by websites making the trip cheaper. there are no specific websites that would help very much.
here is for example restaurant kuhinja in belgrade
great food, not hard to reach from the center.
but the poster has to come back and make her wishes for the trip more specific.

9Just to give my reply to last few posts, Bulgaria is generally cheaper than Serbia, for many many things. Food, services, anything. #8, wonder how did you make that conclusion?
#OP, search Thorntree for your answers. Somehow like 2 or 3 weeks ago I was replying to the similar topic, in details.
