Free accommodation: Canada is one of the biggest countries in the Hospitality Club, at the moment there are 276 members there, who would love to meet you or have you over to stay with them. Here is the main Hospitality Club page, and here the direct link to the Canada page. Enjoy your trip!

Nunavut territory

Nunatsiaq newspaper online - this is released every Friday and has the current news of events in the territory
Government of Nunavut website
Nunavut Handbook - this was fully interactive, but they have just released a 2004 edition of the book and the site hasn't caught up.

First Air - one of the airlines that can get you there.
Nunavut Parks
Nunavut Travel & Tourism, Worldweb site - I've never looked at this site, so can't say if it's helpful.

re airlines, I'm impressed with new airline fly zoom, so far. Booked online paid for upgrade from 31"pitch to 36" pitch (I'm a big lad). confirmed within 5 mins, and they also added a free upgrade to premium class for return trip. Let you know later about actual flights from glasgow to vancouver. Am flying out thursday 13thmay.

#3 states:

mickih adds: There are public transit services the Swartz Bay ferry terminal in Victoria ($2.50 to downtown on rte 70) but not the airport.

In fact, there are transit services (bus) to the Victoria International Airport from downtown, as well as the reverse direction, though infrequent. Check it out here: http://www.transitbc.com/regions/vic/schedules/schedule.cfm?p=dir.text&route=70:0&day=1&
