I will be in Granada (in Dec) and will head to Tangier. What is the fastest way to get from Granada to Tarifa?
Guess i will have to overnight in Tarifa, hoping to catch the earliest morning ferry to Tangier (and onward to Rabat by train).
Where is the closest hostel to the ferry terminal in Tarifa? How far is the train or bus terminal from the ferry terminal in Tarifa?
Thanks in advance.

2its simply furhter to go via Tarifa-and slower too, and more costly. from Alg there are ferries to TGR about ev hour-various companies combine-and the trip to there is far easier-can do that from Gran hourly-some through buses-some change in Malaga
in TGR-check Morocco branch-the ferry and train station are now far apart-take ''petite taxi'' 7-10 dirh.

5Thanks for the helpful replies. Not that I must go to Tarifa but it gets me to tangier in the morning and I prefer not to overnight in Tangier.
I plan to take a day train from tangier (overnight in Rabat) and onward by day to Marrakech. I had posted a question about train travel in Morocco in the Morocco branch and it was suggested that I should take the day train for the scenery since this is my first trip to Morocco (and also Spain).

6The best solution would be to go from Granada (dp 7.15) to Tanger (ar 21.57) the same day.
The second best solution would be to take the afternoon or evening train (although the journey from Bobadilla to Algeciras is much more scenic than the Moroccan one) from Granada to Algeciras, sleep there, go on with the 9.55 catamaran, take a taxi to Tanger railway station and arrive at Rabat at 15.42 (timetable valid today).
You find the train and ferry timetebles in the links I mentioned in my first reply.

7The above posters are correct. The fastest (and also the cheapest) way to get from Granada to Tarifa is to take that train I mentioned in your other thread, the train that goes from Granada to Algeciras. You then will need to take a bus from Algeciras to Tarifa. There`are three`direct trains a day: see the RENFE website for times.
