Qingdao - Exit/entry stamp (visa)

Hi, I'm in Qingdao on a multi-entry business visa, and need to go some where to have an exit/entry stamp. - i would like to keep costs low, but also see if i can experince something new. Obvious there is the opotunity to by a local (ment for Chinese tourists) Honkong visit pacake, flying via Shenzhen going to HK for a couple of day and back, ahich can be done for some 3kY i guess. Problem is that i have been in HK so many times and would like to see something new.

Has anybody tryed the ferry from Qingdao to S. Korea? - is it recomendable? Can you acctually have a good time on the ferry it self, or is it just a mean of getting from A to B? again, is there anything to to at Icheon harbour in Korea for a day?

If anybody has other suggestions for a quick visa get-away from Qingdao, i'm all ears.

Thanks - J!

I tired to take the boat once but missed it and ended up flying. The ticket was only marginally more than the boat, I think. Something close to 1000 (one way).

If you do go to HK, it always seems cheaper to fly to GZ than Shenzhen. Though I'm not sure how much it costs to get from GZ to HK.

I wouldn't consider Vietnam for a quick visa run. Most nationalities that I know of need to apply for a Vietnam visa to start with, and that would add to your costs. No way.

Macau? Why do you need to get an entry/exit stamp if you've got a multiple entry visa? (just curious)

Hi - thanks for the replys. - A business visa valid for 12 months, with multi entry only allows each stay to be either 30 or 60 days. in my case 60.

Next time get the one that lets you stay 120 days.

You can fly to Manila on Cebu pacific from Shanghai for about 1400 CNY including tax. Could be an option. Seoul is also an option and not expensive from QD

Hi, I ended up taking the ferry to Incheon. It's a very nice 16h overnight ride. The ferry is really nice, with a bar, a restaurant, shower facilities etc. there are 5 classes.

Economy. Bunkbeds, 20 - 50 in a room ( or bed's on the flow (japanese style), avoid them)
Business. Bunkbeds, 4 in a room. small table and a sink.
Royal. Bunkbeds, 2 in a room, private shower.
Royal suite. Double bed, shower table arragement etc.
And a president suite (name says it all)

Port facilities in Qingdao looks like S***, located in the harbour area behind the old German city. - Easy access, and plenty of taxis when you need to get out of there. - Buying tikets are done on the spot, and it really easy.

In Incheon the port is in the outskirts of the city, but in an area with plenty of shops and restaurants etc. the subway leading to Incheon city and Seoul!! is within walking distance.

At this time of year the ferry is less than half full, most used by people delivering parcals back and forth, but in summer time it's said to be full.

Go for it its easy.
