BAI SHUI TAI Yunnan with my mum...

Hello all,

I'll be with my mother in Lijiang in March and I would like some info about going to BaiShuiTai :

I hear there are some steps or a steep trail going from the nearby village up to the top : how long does it take walking slowly ?
Also is there a fairly comfortable hotel nearby and where ?
And last question, how long does is take to get there by bus from Lijiang ?

Thank you for letting me know as I need to plan these things in advance to make sure this is something she can do.

1) Nearby village? The steps start from the roadside. If you take a bus, ask to be let off at the appropriate spot. Even if you're very slow I don't think you'll take any more than 45 mins to get to the top.

2) Most people stay in Zhongdian, not at Baishuitai. No "hotels" at Baishuitai.

3) Not sure. I'm sure Zhongdian is closer than Lijiang, to Baishuitai. Lijiang -- Baishuitai by bus is probably at least 3 hours.

Cheers!
