Nanning /gay scene venues

Is there anyone who can help me find a gay venue for a Chinese 21 year old female student.I have seen replies to threads from english language teachers based in Nanning. Admittedly they were answering questions related to other matters.
I feel desperately sorry for this girl who can not 'come out', because the culture forbids it. She is effectively trapped and is unable to tell her parents or fellow students.
Does anyone know of a venue where she might be able to meet people and share her thoughts and experience.
She speaks quite good english and is friendly and positive.Thank you

try the forum at utopia-asia.com
as most things like that, mainly male-oriented, but the forum there seems to have the highest nr of chinese/local knowledge. In fact I am now in JongHong, but I dont kow if the site is barred by the chinese- just check.

so you believe anything - on the news? on TV? in your guidebook? on this forum? good luck then - you'll need it!

Also I'm sure that there is tons of stuff on the internet (in Chinese). Encourage her to join a forum or chatroom. That seems to be the most popular form of communication for young, gay Chinese these days.
