Have you tried the Pantip Plaza, Indra Square or Silom night market? Officially pirate copies in Thailand are illegal but Thais cannot afford full priced American copies so they exist. There are a few times when there are raids as in the redlight district but the police have been paid off and the people warned so everything is hidden when it happens and back to business as usual later. I have seen it happen in MBK before.Travel. It broadens the mind and narrows the wallet.

I was there yesterday, and all were open. Just as well I didn't leave it till tomorrow!

Yesterday, there was a segment on Thai TV news about pirates crackdowns.
