times i cannot find

hey there..just a few last minute questions;

1) how long is the train from chiang mai to bangkok?

2) can i get a train direct from kanchanaburi to chiang mai?

3) how long is the train from bangkok to surat thani?

4) how long is the ferry from surat thani to phangan?

around the christmas week how long in advance must i book trains to these places?

2) no. you must go through Bangkok

3) about 210 metres

4) about 30 metres

re 1; some trains have 18 cars+loc x 15 mtrs - about 270 mtrs!
2. AND find the other station, which is rather diffcult to find
OR; ever heard of google??: thailand railways: and all is there

so you believe anything - on the news? on TV? in your guidebook? on this forum? good luck then - you'll need it!
