Visa Extension in Guilin

Has anyone recently obtained a visa extension in Guilin? If so,
1- How long does it take
2- What is your citizenship
3- How long of an extension did they give you
4- What kind of visa did you have before getting the extension

We are Canadian citizens, currently holding a 60 day, single entry tourist visa. We are hoping it wont be a problem to get an extension in Guilin. We have about a week left on our current visas. If Guilin doesn't pan out, what is another option that is close to Guilin?
