pattaya in january

just wonderin,would it be difficult to find a 10u.s. hotel in pattaya on a arrival or should i book now.i was recommended the sawee hotel,ice hotel,if any other recommendations greatlly appreciate it

I would wait till i got there .You will always get something.Maybe book the first night though ,even if its more expensive .

If you arrive early in the day and have the patience to lug your bag around you may be able to find some place to stay.

For the first night you may have to settle for a place a little more expensive than what you want and then early in the morning go on a cheap room hunt.

I can usually find something on Soi Honey Inn, Soi Skawbeach or Soi Buakhaw without reservations even in January.

Sawadee is well known, and for that, often full (esp. January), just like other well known places. 10US seems a bit low now. Add up 5$ to it, then you are squarely in the low budget hotel market, not just the super cheap dingy room with no window (or one that gives on the wall next door).

you posted this before. we answered you. you did not like the answer/reality - that is your problem.

what is on soi honey (has had a complete make over and only 3 cheapies left) and skaw beach is basically full now. skaw beach generally do not do dailies, more wqeekly/monthly. there is one place on skaw beach near 2nd that has rooms but they are really noisy. there is the florida (?) above highway star - but it looks dire and may be a 400 per nt dive (??). i would not even walk on soi bukhao let alone live there - and in a room <us10. that is folly.

if youre looking for some old pattaya hands to offer up the crown jewels (the value gh's) it aint gonna happen son. youre going to have to find them on your own.

here you go - the sawadee on soi honey is a total craphole you might get a room for 450 now.

us10 is not low, its a joke. pattaya is a resort town so however dire the room always includes a tv and often hot water and ac. yes, i also prefer a fan, no hw or ac but that is pattaya. it is a resort town - thank god, not a backpacker place.

im not fat nor old. i really dont care who looks at me or what they think. at least i dont have tatoos like common criminals and wash a few times a day.

actually, we dont like backpackers here because they dont know how to behave as adults. they get drunk and act really, really stupidly. this is magnified ten-fold if they are drawing bargirls attention to themselves (who could care less about you). in fact, the girls loathe you, you have no money and are ill mannered. the girls that end up with backpackers are the dregs OR taken you for a sucker to marry and get a passport to __________.

the vast majority of foreigners living here do not have 'girlfriends' and hardly capable of jealousy. you never lose your girl, only your turn ;-)
