You can have a new visa here in UB without any problem!
What I remember is, there are 2 ways to get Chinese visa from Mongolia!
1. Same day- cost you around 60USD
2. In 5 week days! - cost you around 30USD
I hope it will helpful for you!

Mongolhun - OP needs to get a visa for Mongolia in Beijing not the reverse.

OP - Try dsearching this branch for past reports about getting a Mongolian visa in Beijing. If you can't find it, let me know but I know that I posted the information relatively recently. I am not on my own computer so I can't search easily myself.

Since I have taken the time to answer your question, it would be nice if you took the time to respond as to whether the information was helpful.

You can definitely buy a visa in UB... but I forget the cost. I got mine on the same day and it wasn't too expensive. Be warned though that when I was there a few years ago the Chinese embassy in UB was only open for one morning one day a week or something, so try to check it out in advance as you may need to wait a few days before you can even go there.
