Does entering nepal cancel a multiple entry visa?

I'm in Tibet with a multiple entry chinese visa, and I've heard rumors... If I enter Nepal overland, will they cancel my chinese visa? I need to catch my flight home from Shanghai, so this is pretty important. I've tried searching the forums, but to no avail. Thanks, in advance.

Hi!

I have heard they cancel the visa if you enter from Nepal. Kathmandu have flights to Shanghai and Chengdu for 300 to 400 dollar if you have to get back.

If there are flights from Kathmandu to Chendu or Shanghai, perhaps the airlines carriers know.

As I understand it you need the group visa which cancels other visas only if you enter overland from Nepal to Tibet. If it is possible to fly to Kathmandu to China (not Tibet) directly then it should be possible to use your multiple entry visa.

Since I have taken the time to answer your question, it would be nice if you took the time to respond as to whether the information was helpful.

They will cancel your visa if you enter Tibet from Nepal, they will give you a whole new "group visa" and a permit. That's not a very good idea.

If you travel from Tibet to Nepal and want to go back to China to catch a flight, you'd better fly from Kathmandu to Chengdu, and your Chinese visa won't be canceled.
