Krabi Town Guesthouse

Hey, heading over to Krabi soon and need to book one night in advance as I will meet my friend there.
Can someone recommend a place that has private rooms with Aircon within Krabi town?
Only need one night before heading to the ferry, so doesn't need to be too fancy (but clean, as I am traveling with a Japanese....)

Thanks for your support, see you out there.

Hey Tezza, thanks for th quick response. I checked out that link earlier today from your page and didnt work anymore - their page actually must have been down for a while. Chanchalay and Chan Cha Lay the same place? Found this link here:

The new aircon rooms at Chanchalay have got good posts in the past. I have stayed in the cheaper fan rooms several times - spotless. I have a sublink to Chanchalay in text of the Krabi thread second link below.

Yep, that's the place. BTW, there is a similarly named place a bit further up the hill in the same street - I think it may be Chan Guesthouse. Just so your transport doesn't drop you off at the wrong place.

I just added sunny's tip to my list of places to check out (I like trying new places) and I found this other recent tip on Krabi town good places - unfortunately I did not record the poster:
"KRABI TOWNI stayed at Krabi Pura - a real home away from home in the center of Krabi Town. Fabulous owner who really goes all-out to welcome you. A great flashpacker hideaway."
