kashgar to lhasa via Mt Kailash

Is it possible to go from Kashgar to Lhasa via mount Kailash by bus, jeep, ...?

Does one still need a permit to enter and travel in Tibet?

Erm, I only pointed OP in the direction of a search. Is that now frowned upon as well?
Cheers!

Judging by the number of new posters who ask questions that can be answered by a simple read through of a couple ( sometimes less) pages, I can see where ellyse is coming from. I would have thought it simple to research first then ask questions but maybe thats too hard for some.
