Tibet to Nepal in July - overland

Does anyone have experience with or know if it is possible to travel from Lhasa to Kathmandu in early July? And if tricky, how hard is it to get tickets in Lhasa for a flight to Kathmandu with short notice?

Its possible, in fact there will be a lot of people going that way in july. Its high season. plenty of people looking for others to share the costs of a landcruiser.
