stuck in golmud?

Anyone in Golmud unable to get to Lhasa? Reports vary about being blocked from entering Tibet in Golmud; some say "arrgh" and others seem to have gotten thru without a permit. We're in Dunhuang ready to head to Golmud but not if we'll be stuck there for a week waiting. Thanks to anyone who can help give clarity to a confusing situation....

No one can guarantee you not to be stucked in Golmud right now due to the problems about getting permits. Just go there, try to get someone chinese to buy traintickets for you, cross your fingers, and jump on the train. Your chance of success will be pretty high although theres always a chance of meeting PSB at the station.
