Lhasa to Everest/ Starting Oct 20

We are an American couple in Lhasa. We will book a tour from Lhasa to Everest Base Camp and back starting OCT 20 and returning to Lhasa OCT 25. We are looking for others who are interested in joining us and splitting the cost of the trip. It is a Land Rover trip with driver and English speaking guide. The itinerary is roughly as follows:
Oct 20: Lhasa to Gyatse (stop at Yamdrok lake)
Oct 21: Gyatse to Shigatse
Oct 22: Shigatse to Rongphu Monastery
Oct 23: Rongphu to EBC
Oct 24: Rongphu or EBC to Shigatse
Oct 25: Shigatse to Lhasa

Stops at Sakya and Samye and whatever other attractions along the way are very much expected as time allows. The cost to be split is about 6900yuan and this includes car, driver, guide, driver and guide's food and accomodation, car entrance fee to EBC, and EBC party permit. It does not include personal entrance fees to sights, hotel, and food.

Since they are not giving out anymore travel permits to Everest until Oct 25 or later, the trouble is that you must already have a travel permit that states EBC as a destination.

Hope to hear from some fellow travelers,
Travel safe,
Felix

Hi Felix,

We are a Dutch couple looking for 2 other people to go to EBC, but we read that your plan is to start the journey on October 20th, we would like to start on Monday (22nd). Do you think you could change your plans so we could join you on your trip?
We are stayibg at the Banakshol hotel in Lhasa, Beijing Middle Road no 8, roomnumber 206. If you're interested in taking us along, leave us a message at the hotel at the reception or slide a note under our door. We don't have a permit for EBC yet because we hear all different things about when to get permits again, some say from the 22nd or 23rd.
