November weather!!

Myself and my friend are travelling around Thailand from teh start of Novmeber 2007 travelling from Bangkok toKhao Sok park, doing our Padi in Phuket then heading on to tour round Krabi, phi phi islands before heading up to Koh Samui and then Chang mai and back to Bangkok. I have read quite alot about the weather not being great in part sin Novmeber. SO are there particular places to avoid cause of the weather then ANy good diving places to do Padi in Phuket?Cheers

November is good in Bangkok and Phuket/Phi Phi side. It's not so good on the Samui side, so you may want to skip that if that matters to you. You can head to the north instead to Chiang Mai and go trekking and to an elephant camp.

My experience of a number of November trips is that wet season is ending or has ended with the exception of the Samui/Phangan/Toa area as sm mentions above.
Normally you can expect fewer showers/storms and more sunshine as the month goes on, and considering that dead-set wet season usually has enough sunshine to make trips enjoyable, November is even better. It is one of my favourite times to travel because of the weather and the fact that high seson crowds are not a problem in most places.
Statistically, the wet season seems to end earlier in the north than elswhere, so you might visit those before you venture to the Andaman.
There is a lot more weather info in the first link below and a lot of island stuff in the next link.
