Where do I stow baggage on trains from Shanghai to Tibet (hard berth)
Thanks for any help.

What do you mean by baggage? You can stow a certain amount in the compartment at the top of the berth.

In a hard sleeper, if you have a lower berth (or if the lower berth person is kind and not bringing much), you can store it under the bottom berth. The middle berth is usually kept up during the day, but luggage could also be stored on the top berth (if you have the top berth or if the top berth person is kind). You don't want to "check baggage" in another compartment.

You may want to bring a cable lock or a Pac-Safe mesh web to keep your bag safe on the train and any other time on your trip you are away from it.

We traveled hard sleeper from Chengdu to Kunming and believe me when I say with 5 other people squashed into the compartment, there's no way someone else can squeeze in and pinch a large bag.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.
