China Visa Extension for 1 day

Hi there,

I have to extend my Chinese visa by one/two days as I get a train from Beijing on the 16th of October and my visa expires on the 15th of October (I have an Irish passport).

I was wondering is there any way to get a one/two day extension or do I have to get an extension for one month and pay the one month fee.

Also where is the most convenient PSB to apply for the extension? We will be in Xi'an, Pingyao, Datong and Beijing.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Don't think they give out 1-day extensions.
Cheers!

The cost of the extension is the same whether it is one day or one week or one month.

I assume that you are taking the train from Beijing to UB since this is the only train that departs from Beijing that reaches the border in a day.

Generally reports on this forum suggest that it is easier and faster to get a visa extension in smaller city than in a big city but in your case since the cost is going to be the same and you will likely be offered 30 days for the same price, you can get it anywhere at this point. Again, sometimes a smaller town/city can do it same day.
