I do not suggest Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant in Beijing, maybe try the other famous one that Frommer's always recommends (name escapes me now).3
in beijing, i would recommend DADONG roast duck restaurant. that's the place everyone goes now as it's better than quanjude.4
I enjoyed Da Dong (22 Donsishitiao, Doncheng District), in Beijing too. Their claim is that their roast duck technique minimizes fat on the duck. Best Peking duck I've had - delicious!6
The Old Station restaurant mentioned in #2 has now closed for renovation, I think.10
a lot of the provincial representative office buildings in beijing (where the reps from each province have their offices in the capital) have respective restaurants on the first floor that are usuaully good. for example, the sichuan representative office has a good sichuan restaurant. most of these offices are located in the xizhimen area.Posted By: VenessaP -- 28-Jan-2010 15:01
