I don't personally know these hotels, but you should be fine. The locations are decent enough for transport and sightseeing, and for coming back during the day for a rest (if your son is tired) or to dump shopping packages. For Beijing, the price doesn't sound that bad, assuming you are getting a solid 3-star plus type of room and services. Of course you can always find cheaper places, but with a child in tow, you want to be comfortable as a family and not slum it in a hostel or really basic Chinese place.
