Accomodation in Beijing.

Hi Again,

I have made a decision; for better or worse? We will just have to wait and see....

When we arrive in Beijing we will stay at the
Zhong Tang Courtyard Hotel
Xi Si Bei Da Street | No 12 Xi Si Bei 2 Tiao, Beijing 100034, China

We will stay there for 3 nights and then move onto the
Beijing Hua Wei Business Apartment Hotel
130 Xidan North Avenue | Xicheng District, Beijing 100032, China for another 7 nights. As near as I can figure we should be able to get around pretty easily from both of these locations and our 6yo will be well catered for. We really are on the countdown now and for our budget they seemed to fit the bill.

I just wanted to know if there were any things you would recommend with staying in these areas?
Your advice in the past has been wonderful so please don't be shy. We are all so excited I cannot wait for our son to see such a different culture and to try some new things.

look forward to your replies.

Have a great trip. What are the costs that are quoted for these two places and why did you choose them?

Hi,
We are paying US$65 per night at the Zhong Tang, the reasong that I chose this one was that it seemed to have been given really good reviews on trip advisor and it was not too much extra for the additional bed for our son. At the Hua Wei we are paying US$103 per night for a 2bedroom apartment inc breakfast. This we chose also because it had been given good reviews on trip advisor and because it seemed central enough.
Are these prices ok? I have been all over the net researching and these were the best I could come up with.

Thanks

Amelia

I am chinses, i know nothing about this hotel..
Do you ever consider choosing family hotel to live ,in the case , it will reduce your cost greatly.
compare to hotel ,the price is much lower. only 150-180rmb per night.

It's never to late to learn and enjoy your life...

I don't personally know these hotels, but you should be fine. The locations are decent enough for transport and sightseeing, and for coming back during the day for a rest (if your son is tired) or to dump shopping packages. For Beijing, the price doesn't sound that bad, assuming you are getting a solid 3-star plus type of room and services. Of course you can always find cheaper places, but with a child in tow, you want to be comfortable as a family and not slum it in a hostel or really basic Chinese place. Enjoy your trip.
