travelling around thailand can we go to sarawak...?

hi we are going to thailand in march for 11 days we are based in bangkok but only as we got a cheep deal, we are hoping to do some travelling, we would like to do Kanchanaburi and either phuket or ko samui we would also like to visit the sarawak jungle too we understand this is a long journey but are wondering if it is possible or if anyone has suggestions about where to go and what to do. we definatly want to do some time in the jungle and a couple of days at the beach we are planning on doing the first and last day in bangkok but no more than this really so anyone any suggestions
not realy got a budget but try to do things as cheaply as possible if that helps we like an adventure so again any suggestions welcome

in 11 days, you can do a max of 3 places. you will need 4 days or so in Bangkok. You can then fly north to Chiang Mai and go to some elephant reservations (3 days). Then, you can fly down to Ko Samui for another 4 days at the beach (I believe this side of islands has better weather in March). Check out Bangkok Airways discovery pass on their website where you can fly to all three cheap.

agree with #2. You can only do a maximum of three of those places - I suggest you pull Sarawak. This is a shame, as Kuching is Kool.

If you do go to Sarawak, Royal Mulu Resort is very nice, and they organize river trips and climbing the Pinnacles. But it does sound like too much to add to a short Thailand trip. Malaysian Borneo is a trip in itself.

You hurt my feelings...both of 'em!

Despite what #1 advises you can fly to Kuching, however I question the viability of such a plan for an 11 day trip. The Capital of Sawak, a Malaysian State in East malaysia ie Borneo, is Kuching and Air Asia flies there from Kuala lumpur, as does Malaysian Airlines. Kota Kinabalu (previously known as Jessalton) is the capital of Sabah.
Thailand has a number of national parks in which tropical rainforest (in general equals jungle) can be experienced,
