not in the very early months, holidays fine, but travelling just as you're getting used to being parents - forget it. After 4-5 months fine, still breast feeding plus starting on pureed veg etc no problem, if bottle feeding i personally wouldn't because sterilising on the go would be hell. I kept breastfeeding mine until 15 months purely because we were travelling it makes life so much easier, you can comfort them whenever they need it. once you're confident as parents go for it, babies are portable up until 2 years after that if you've always travelled with them fine but if not leave it a bit longer, bear in mind up until 2 years of age you only pay taxes no fares, but more than likely you'll have babes on your laps - airlines NEVER have enough flight cribs.www.mafiaislandtz.com http://wikitravel.org/en/Mafia_Island

I don't think I would risk it, babies can be very delicate, and SE Asia it can hard to find decent medicine when off the beaten track, which is most of SE Asia, too much to lose for little gain in my humble opinion, I loved traveling but it all stopped when my fist arrived and I'm happy about it too6
You might be interested to read this recent thread from the SEA Mainland branch. It's dealing with Cambodia and concentrates on Malaria precaution for a 20month old girl, but contains lots of practical advice as well....just returned... leaving again shortly...

Having traveled extensively through Thailand and Laos, with side trips to Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia, with our two children when they were babies I can't say as I see any grounds for the negative posts here from people who seemingly have not traveled in Thailand with a baby."Hawkeye, your kisses are driving me crazy" - "Yes, and I'm only using one lip"

True, though they're so portable (folds to a small bag) that you can use them in scenarios like Hacky described, i.e. you can use them on the beach, in a field, on a table at McDonalds, anywhere you need an instant clean & mosquito-free spot for a baby.Check out pics and reviews of all kinds of food at chanchao.fotopages.com.
