Internet in Nanning

Internet in Nanning

Hello

I arrived in Nanning yesterday. I'm finding it a little difficult to find what I need because of language difficulties. The internet cafe listed in the '05 LP doesn't seem to exist anymore. I was taken to another around the corner from where I'm staying. It's OK as far as it goes. However, I have my own laptop. I connected it to their network with their ethernet cable and it would not connect. Usually this computer configures automatically - in Malaysia and Vietnam, no troubles. With my previous computer whenever I had such problems I could get the appropriate numbers from the staff and it would work. But this is not so easy with the language difficulites here. My computer is a Mac by the way.

Can anyone recommend an internet cafe in Nanning where the staff speak a little English and where they might perhaps allow me to connect my laptop.

Hi. Try at CTS office. The staff are very kind.
Please, what do you know about a "new" direct bus from Nanning to Hanoi?. How ofen does it run?, Where does it leaves?. Where can I get a ticket, or if I can book it in advance?

Thanks Stepenwolf, I did find one. For anyone else who's interested, it's in one of the Suning (or Sunning) buildings at the intersection where Nanning Department Store, and the park are on the other three corners. On the ground level they sell mobile phones. Downstairs you'll find lots of computers. Most people don't speak English. At the food counter there is a girl named Yi, who speaks a little English, and was very helpful.
