Your transit visa is only good for a limited number of days. If you overstay your visa you will probably have problems, but it might be possible to change your visa or get a new visa. There is a Mongolian consulate in Irkutsk and another in Ulan Ude, Russia. Visa processing usually takes about 5 days but can be obtained in less time for a higher price.

hey, does anyone knows if its hard to get the transit visa? i have my onward ticket and my visa to china, and also can you do it upon arrival in Mongolia? P.S. im mexican. im going in the #004 train moscow-beijing, my worries are if i have to do the transit visa process before arrival beacuse im obtaining the train ticket when i arrive to moscow and i will not have enough days to do this process,Posted By: VenessaP -- 28-Jan-2010 15:01
