Yes, it is important to note that it may seem unfair that they are intentionally raising the visa fees for Americans, but note that US Immigration is not being very fair and open to Chinese travelers either. I would rather be an American applying for a Chinese visa than a Chinese applying for a US visa any day.2

Ah, but #3, that's only the symptom. The cause is the fact that foreigners have no representation in Washington, and so the outcome of Congressional and executive penny pinching is to screw the foreigners. We are only collateral damage.9
What's with all the whining? It's just a couple of bucks. If you can't afford $6 or $7 extra for a visa you can't afford the trip. Shake out your sofa cushions, clean the change out of your car, bust open the piggy bank. I am not sympathetic to whining about a fee increase that is less than the cost of a sandwich."Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." DaBaba, you aren't paying attention. It's not a 50 yuan increase, it's a $50 (USD) increase. Check out the link that was posted for New York or this one, http://www.chinaconsulatesf.org/eng/, for San Francisco. Since the price is the same for a single or double entry now, why would anyone only get a single?Posted By: VenessaP -- 28-Jan-2010 15:01
