Visa changing

hi, I am in china, with a single entry 60 day visa. Is there any way of changing it to a double entry one? I am thinking of visiting another coutnry, then coming back for my flight home. Or do I need to get a whole new visa to do that? And is it easy to change or must I be in Beijing?

Thanks very much indeed,

Kieran

In most countries it is almost impossible to change a visa when in the country. I suspect that the same is true in China. I suspect that you will need to obtain a new visa and that this can only be done outside of China.

Where are you planning to go? What is your passport? How long will you be in this other place?

Since I have taken the time to answer your question, it would be nice if you took the time to respond as to whether the information was helpful.

I thought it was possible to add an entry to an existing visa, but I might be wrong.
Cheers!

If you leave the country you will have to get a new visa before you return. You cannot get it in China before you leave. At least that was my experience, if someone has gotten it done, I would like to know how, too. If you return via Hong Kong or Macau it will be simple to get a new visa, plenty of travel agents will do it for you, make sure it isn't the 5 day SEZ visa, though.
