Changing Chinese Visa

I'm spending this summer in China, I have applied for and recieved a double entry visa, for 60 days each entry. My plan was to leave and visit Nepal for a week or two then return to China through Tibet but this is proving to be too much of a pain in the arse so I have abandoned the idea completely and am just spending the whole 10 weeks in China. As it stands my visa requires me to leave and reenter at some point. I've been told that it would be easy to get an extention on the first entry for 30 days which would cover me for the whole 90 days I'm in China without me having to leave and re-enter the country. Just to get a second opinion, is this true or am I likely to have trouble with it?

Oh, I'm a british passport holder and I have never been to China previously.

Cheers!

Just apply for an extension on your visa when the 1st 60 days run out. You'll have no problems getting that, and your 2nd entry will be cancelled.
Cheers!
