passports

Hey folks. I have dual passports for Australia and New Zealand. Have just applied for my China visa (in my Aussie passport) to save waiting time, I am thinking of posting my NZ passport off for the Mongolian visa process. Do you think this might be an issue at borders - each visa being in a separate passport? Thanks.

If applying in oz:

Sydney - Mongolian embassy (or is it a consulate?) - processes visa applications on tuesday. They aren't overrun with applications at the moment (even despite nadaam), they will do it the first tuesday after you apply. If not in Sydney (I'm interstate) - i included an express post envelope as requested; my passport with visa arrived in Mlbourne on the wednesday.

Melboune - Chinese consulate - had just a 3 day wait; didn't have to pay for 'express' or anything.

Hope that helps you with your planning .

They won't care as long as you have a valid visa. If they ask you can just show the other passport.

I have multiple passports and often depart one country on one and enter the next on the other. They rarely look and only once has someone commented. They don't care. They only care if you have the appropriate visa for their country.

Since I have taken the time to answer your question, it would be nice if you took the time to respond as to whether the information was helpful.

Thanks for the support - sounds like it shan't be such an issue. Which is great, less time waiting for visas, means I'm off sooner!
