Lahsa to Nepal via EBC around the 18 june

I'm hoping to do a Nepal tour via base camp (5-8 days, other stops we can work out) in the next week (today is the 13 June). I am a single traveller looking for more people interested (happy for anyone keen for the trip!!). There are a number of agencies to choose from, I was just trying to see if anyone else is keen to go. I am in Lhasa now. I think they take 4-6 pple generally, the more people the cheaper it should get

my email is timmysworld@gmail.com

Thanks

Tim

can you just update the entry process as it looks like to get a tibet permit one needs to be signed on for a tour before travelling to lhasa...was this the case for you or were you able to travel to lhasa without the tour....

I had to book a 1 day tour of Lasa to get my entry permit. This cost a crazy 1000 yuen + the 500 yuen permit cost. However once there I'm free to do as I please. New permits are needed outside Lasa but the tours take care of that.

I got my permit setup from travel agent at Far east Youth hostel. They were pretty good and up front about commissions they get as well as what the other agents (in Tibet and Xian) were asking.

lynzz16 - you have resurrected a post from 2007. Tibet is closed. There is no way to pass from Lhasa to Nepal currently.

If you are in Nepal, post on the Indian subcontinent branch which covers Nepal.
