how long to get tibet-permit

jo!

how many days does it take to get a permit of a guesthouse in chengdu to travell to tibet?

is it possible just to get a permit, without train- or flightticket?

i want to go in august, but my my visa now is only valid until end of july. i have to extend first, but then i will be travelling and with no time to get the permit. so do i need a valid visa the time i want to get the permit?

Permits can be arranged within 24 hours (about as long as it takes to book and confirm a trip to Tibet. The permits is essentially a entry tax disguised as a permit.

Yes, you will need to have a valid visa when travel to Tibet is organised. Should be not problems extending then organising the trip.

If there is no food, isn't that food for thought?
