From Shenzhen to HK and then to the airport.

I'll be going from yangshou to Shenzhen and then to HK to pick up a friend at the airport..

i've read that you can walk from Shenzhen to Hong Kong and then catch a train.. But does anyone know how i get to the airport(cheap) found an airport metro but it costs somewhere around 100HKdollars... Is that the price or is it just me that thinks it's pretty pricy?

Pretty new in here so hope this is the right place to post the topic.

If not sorry, please tell me where.

Kind regards Jesper

the bus direct from Shenzhen to Chek Lap Kok costs HKD100.00

The train from Lowu (Shenzhen) to Hung Hom - HKD 33.00 ..then bus A21 to the airport - another HKD 33.00. Bus A21 starts at Hung Hom station.

I have very cheap way to go there, that's the most convenient and cheapest way, i tried many times.

From SZ to HK, use Luo Hu Pass
Through Luo Hu Pass, then take the train to Fanlingijust 2 stops, if i remember correct) HKD 27/not sure, just 2 sotp/1 stope
Fangling to Airport, take A43 bus to airport directly, just have 2 stops during this trip, so quick, about 40 mins. HKD 28.

it's a lot of work just to save about 100 HKD.

The best route would be to take the ferry directly from airport to airport.

I've been to HK airport twice. And the way is like as follow:
You can take a shuttle bus from SZ airport to LuoHu Pass around 20RMB.
After you pass the LuoHu pass, you can take the train ,and get off at Kow Loon Tang, then from there change a subway to the airport directly. It's quite fast and totally maybe it will cost you less than 80 HKD. And you also can get free booklet about the trasportation in Hkafter you pass the LuoHu pass.you also can see some official there, all of them can speak very good english and will explain to you if you have any question.
Hope my answer can give some help1^^

As to the HK Airport ferry, I believe it's only for those holding tickets out of Hong Kong; in any event, it leaves just once an hour or so.

It will take you at least a day to walk from Shenzhen airport to the border point where you can walk across to Hong Kong and to catch a train.

The best choice would be taking a ferry from Shenzhen airport to Hong Kong airport.

Catherine (#3) has described the most cost-effective way of doing this trip, and also much quicker than going all the way into the centre of Hong Kong. Her route begins at the crossing point that is joined on to Shenzhen railway station (easy walking distance, although rather a lot of stairs).

However, if the OP is arriving at the airport in Shenzhen, then one of the services providing a direct link between the airports would be faster, although probably more expensive. There are bus services, as well as the ferry, although it is not clear whether the OP would be allowed to use the ferry.

There's a minibus service between Luohu and Shenzhen Airport which runs every 20 minutes, takes about 45 minutes, and costs around 25RMB.

No need to walk.

#7. i didnt think she literally meant to walk from Shenzhen Airport to the border.

Voyager is right. #3 is the least expensive way to do it if coming from Shenzhen, as in the border. ( i was looking for a bus from Fanling or Sheung Shui to airport but since I live in the city, hence my suggestion).

I have just travelled from Shenzhen Bao An (International Airport) to Hong Kong and back again a few days later (I got a visa renewal in HK). When I got off the plane at Shenzhen Bao An, I went to the counters for transfers to HK International Airport (to take bus to where I was staying). They wouldn't let me take the ferry to Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as I didn't have a connecting flight. However, I was able to take the bus. I think the company was Trans-Island China Link or something similar. This cost me $HKD180. I read their brochure in the bus on the way there and found that I could have taken the bus to Wan Chai for $HKD100, which would have suited me a lot better, but it was too late by then. It took quite a while as we had to go to the border crossing (at Guang-something? I have forgotten the name of the place), go through Chinese immigration and then through HK immigration (about 2km apart) and then take another bus to get to HKIA. The whole process took around 3 hours.

For the return trip, I began at the Wan Chai bus station (next to the ferry terminal), and this cost me $HKD45 to get to the border crossing. After clearing through HK immigration and then China immigration and customs, I had to take another bus to Shenzhen Bao An airport, which cost me RMB60. Strangely, I had this whole coach to myself, which I thought was ironic in the the world's most populated country! Again this whole process took about 3 hours, but is fairly straightforward (apart from the usual Chinese lack of clear or even correct signage, which is confusing. I just followed the crowds and kept hassling people until they told me who to talk to! And I have very little Chinese, just kept repeating that I wanted to go to Shenzhen Bao An and they literally pointed me in the direction of the buses and the right ticket office!).

Anyway, I hope this helps someone
