A taxi from The Bund to Shanghai Airport will set you back roughly 170RMB (17 USD) and take between one and one and a half hours. You're better off using the Maglev from the airport straight to Pudong. One way is about 50RMB and the train takes only 8 minutes (at 430km/h). Can't help with the hotel though.2
The above poster needs to do a little more homework. First of all, RMB170 is about USD22. Except in rush hour, the taxi should take less than an hour.3
In answer to the first question --- If you want to go from Pudong Airport to HongQiao airport, the fee will be relatively steep. Hopefully your driver will select to go via the loop road that passes south of Shanghai so you do not have to deal with the mess/traffic jam of downtown Shanghai....Overall it will be in the range of RMB220. There are also buses that go from Pudong to HongQiao.4
OP for your connection please take airport shuttle no.1 (30 RMB). Don't bother with the Maglev and etc as I presume you'll be having lots of luggage and not enough time nor energy to muck around like that. Taxi is expensive and I doubt it would be much faster than the airport shuttle anyway.Posted By: VenessaP -- 28-Jan-2010 15:01
