I paid about $1100 a person in December for a flight from Beijing to Lhasa, 6 days with a tour guide and driver (required technically), nights in the Shangbala Hotel near the Jokan Temple, and train from Lhasa to Beijing in Soft Sleeper. But do note I tried to haggle down a bit and most places wouldn't budge. Your price might be a tad more since we went in off season instead of on season. Can't discover new lands until you find the courage to lose sight of the shore!
