Prices for tours out of Khasa

Hi,
we have planned our tour out of Lhasa and we have been asked 21000yuan for a 20 days tour by landcruiser, with a driver, a guide and Permit for the two of us.
We asked Banakshol to organize our tour because two friends of our strongly recommended us the FIT agency in Banakshol.

Food, accommodation and all the entrance fees of the monastery and everest Base Camp and Mount Kailash and Guge Kingdom are not included.

We asked whether the permit they would send us is valid to buy a flight ticket from Chengdu to Lhasa and they asked 250yuan more.

I know July is high season but after the matter of the enforcement of the rules to enter Tibet, it seems to me everybody is asking tourists more money then ever.

So, before we take any decision about the tour, have you any idea of prices?
Has anybody of you ever travelled with the FIT agency in Lhasa?
We are in contact with Tenzin, do you know him?

The FIT at Banakshol is highly recommended by Losang, and because of the reputation of Losang, I tend to believe this agency is quite okay too. But there's also another thread warning people not to use this agency.

we used the FIT at Banok Shol and had nothing but decent service for the complete trip to EBC and back.

We never really grow up, we only learn how to act in public.

I think the going rate for a jeep hire in Lhasa is 700 yuan/day, an English speaking guide is about 200 yuan/day. Adding it all up makes your price for a 20 days tour very reasonable.

I'm also planning a trip, but just 10 days to EBC.
May you tell me if i understand right:
two people in the jeep, each of you pay 21,000 RMB for 20 days?

how much money, do you think, you need for the entire trip, accomodation, food, entrence fees, extra?
or may you send me an email: mamanature@gmx.de

If there's 10 of you ( just kidding), you only pay 21,000Y for the jeep, NOT each.
As an extra for example, you'll have to pay 400Y for the permit for the vehicle and 100Y + each for your permits to visit EBC. The extra above the 100Y depends on your pasasport. We paid 60Y each more as we came from New Zealand. That extra money goes for the stamps they'll put on your postcard entry piece. Food was the cheapest but we found hotels in all places except for the tents more expensive than Lhasa. This DOES NOT mean that others will have the same findings.
For our tent, we paid 40Y each, of which the Chinese apparently keep 20Y and the tent holder gets the balance.
