Tioman Island

Hi,

Sorry im posting this on the Thailand thread but Malaysia thread = slow/no reply.

We are going to Tioman Island on 07/06/06 and was wondering if anyone has been and can recommend any good accomodation. Also what is the best part of the Island to be located at?

From there we will be going to Singapore. What is the best way to get there and where to stay in Singapore?

Thank you.

I think Air Batang is a nice place to be in, bamboo `something' that is located at the edge of ABC is nice.

I enjoyed Japamala resort on the southern end of the island. Very secluded with some excellent rooms.

Life's what you make it!

We really liked Japamala too. Excellent food, cocktails, service, and scenery. If you like to be super active, don't go for too long. But there is scuba diving nearby and they do have 2 sea kayak you can use, although one was in slightly rough shape. It still worked though. We really enjoyed this resort.
