FROM GUILIN TO HONG KONG

Can anyone give me more information about which is the best option to get to Hong Kong? (prices, timetables and duration,...)

- Flight from Guilin to Shenzen and then Bus or Train to Hong Kong
- Flight from Guilin to Guangzhou and then Bus or Train to Hong Kong
- Flight from Guilin to Hong Kong directly

Thanks for all.

elong.net will give you the prices.

You might as well fly to Shenzhen rather than Guanghzhou for Hong Kong.

From Shenzhen airport there is the ferry (expensive but easy to do to Kowloon) or bus and train (cheap and fairly easy).

Flying direct to Hong Kong will be the most expensive.

I suggest flying from Guilin to Shenzhen, then take a bus to the Lowu Train Station. Cross the border to HK and take a train to Kowloon. Or catch a bus in Shenzhen airport heading to Kowloon/Hong Kong Island. There are quite a number of choices/frequency for leaving Shenzhen to HK and are reasonably priced.

I don't think there is much of a difference in airfare bewteen flying Shenzhen or flying into Guangzhou. Plus Shenzhen is closer to HK. I would fly into Shenzhen then take a direct coach to hk.

Do this in reverse

You have options.

There are two buses from Guilin to Guangzhou or Shenzhen. From Shenzhen you can walk across the border and catch the train from Lo Wu to Hung Hom (HKD$33). From Guangzhou you catch a train to HK.

You can fly to Shenzhen (1 hour) and then catch a bus to the border etc.

You can train from Guilin, but ti's about 20 hours.
