Private Guide to The Great Wall

I was watching the pilot guide to Beijing and they had a local guide who took the crew to an area of the great wall that has been un touched by tourist. It required a tiny bit of bush walking. Does anyone know anyone in Beijing who can organise which trips?

I went through Beijing a while ago and some guys I met later said they had done a tour like the one you're describing with Leo Hostel. It was an organised trip from the hostel in Beijing and included the compulsory side trip to some sort of shop but the Great Wall tour was well worth it....... apparently!

Tuk tuk, scooter, mountain pony, elephant, dogsled, songthaew or longboat........I dont care............ just as long as I'm on the move

Have just done a tour such as this with cycle china but there was absolutely no tourist shops on the way there or home.

We did a section called Xiangshui Lake, we saw no otheer tourists, it was a bit of a climb and walk though! Stayed in a farmhouse for the night. Was a very spectacular trek.
