Chinese visa extension

So I thought that you're only supposed to get one one month extension on your one month visa (UK passport) but people keep telling me you an get two extensions. Has anyone actually ever got more than one? Personal experience please...

I dont think anyone on here can guarantee that you will get several extensions. having said that, it is very likely that they (the PSB) will grant more than one extension.

it's better to get a 3-month (or longer) visa to begin with. chinese embassies will issue 3 month tourist visas if you ask for it.

There's usually no problem getting the 1st extension if you're not in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
It's usually not a big problem getting the 2nd extension, also if you're not in the Tibet Autonomous Region.
Cheers!

Does anyone know if its hard to get a third extension (Australian passport... if it makes a difference). I have had two 90 days visas (I've been teaching) and my second one will end just before I want to go home. Is it possible to get a one month extension so I can travel around a bit?

Also the PSB is friendlier in some places... just had a great experience with them in Xining.

How do you know if there's gonna be a PSB in the town? I'm gonna need a visa extension someplace between chengdu and xining - going through songpan, langmusi and that lot. Do all these places have psb's that do visa extensions?

There's always a PSB in every place that's a town or bigger. They don't necessarily issue visa extensions though.
Cheers!

erm.. well not really, they give you the psb address in some towns but not all the ones that I even know have psb's, let alone the ones i'm not sure about which are the ones i'm interested in.

re #3, I had two 30 day extensions to a 60 day tourist visa in Beijing last year, so it's worth trying.
